Thatis a form of hypnosis.  You naturally pass through a hypnosis-like state everymorning when you wake up and each night when you go to sleep. When you are in hypnosis,your subconscious mind is more willing to accept suggestions. Usually oursubconscious minds are resistant to change, even when it is beneficial change -changes we want to make to improve our lives. What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?

Hypnosis is a state of mind,so it doesn't really feel different from your normal state. It is such anatural and familiar state that it is almost impossible to tell when you are inhypnosis. 

This is important, so let mesay it again: hypnosis does not feel different than your normal state. As a professional hypnotist I am trained to recognize when someone ishypnotized.  But it is still difficult for me to tell when I am in hypnosismyself even though I have been hypnotized many times.

Unfortunately this means that anyone cancall themselves a hypnotist even if they have no training.  So when you areseeking a hypnotist (whether online or in the yellow pages) always make surethey are certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists (http://www.ngh.net/).

The National Guild ofHypnotists (NGH)  is the oldest and largest organization of hypnosisprofessionals in the United States. Certified membership in the NGH requires aminimum of 100 hours of training (equal to 2 college semesters)  and 15continuing education credits (CEU’s) per year afterwards.  Members are alsorequired to abide by the NGH’s code of ethics.

Lastly, make sure that thehypnotist you choose is someone you feel comfortable with. If you do not feelcomfortable with that person you will have a harder time relaxing into thehypnotic process.
